Separate motion judder from interruptions caused by a loading spinner. Review output mode, source frame characteristics and player decoding options one at a time, using a repeatable scene.

Why this happens
Display timing or decoding behavior can make motion uneven even when data continues arriving. Network speed alone cannot diagnose that stage.
Work through the steps
- Choose a repeatable moving scene.
- Note whether audio and playback time continue during the judder.
- Review documented output and decoding options for that device.
- Change one supported option and replay the same scene.
What to avoid
Do not force a refresh rate or decoder that the hardware does not support. Keep the original setting so you can reverse a change that creates a black screen.
Know what changed
The same scene should show a repeatable improvement without introducing audio loss or instability. Record the player version and output mode if the problem persists.
