Do not search for an Android-style cache menu on Apple TV. Start with closing and reopening the app, a normal restart and checking updates. Removing an app is a broader action that can require its setup to be recovered.

Why this happens
tvOS does not expose one universal per-app Clear Cache control. An individual player may provide its own maintenance options, which must be checked in that player's documentation.
Work through the steps
- Close and reopen the affected player.
- Restart Apple TV normally.
- Check the player and tvOS updates separately.
- Before removal, save the account recovery route and read the publisher's guidance.
What to avoid
Do not claim a remote key sequence universally clears tvOS app cache. App removal is not an account-status check.
Know what changed
A useful outcome is restored app operation with the original setup intact, or a documented app-specific next step. Note whether failure occurs before login or during playback.
