Check whether focus moves visibly through the player's controls. A tvOS player should provide a usable route between login, lists and playback using the remote. A phone-oriented screenshot is not evidence that the same interface supports television navigation.
Why this happens
Touch interaction and focus navigation differ. An unreachable button can be an app interface issue even when the account is valid.
Work through the steps
- Test directional navigation on the Apple TV home screen.
- Open the player and follow focus across its login controls.
- Check its remote-control guidance and available update.
- Record the exact button or screen where focus becomes trapped.
What to avoid
Do not grant unrelated access permissions or erase the account to repair one unreachable control.
Know what changed
The remote should reach essential controls and return to the previous screen. If system navigation works but one app fails, send the publisher the app version and blocked screen.
