Start with a normal Fire TV restart, then reopen the same player. If only that app continues to close, clear its cache and check its update route before deleting its saved data. The moment of the crash matters: failure before the login screen points to a different stage from failure after selecting a stream.

Why this happens
A launch crash can involve the app process, stored state or software compatibility. Replacing a working subscription password does not repair an app that cannot remain open.
Work through the steps
- Restart the Fire TV and let startup finish.
- Open the affected player without starting other apps.
- Clear that player's cache through its app-information page.
- Check Fire TV and player updates and retest launch.
What to avoid
Clear Data is different from Clear Cache and can remove the saved setup. Keep the issued account details before reinstalling or resetting the app.
Know what changed
The player should stay open at its home or login screen. Note whether a crash starts only after entering an account or opening a specific programme.
