What to include in a Google TV player fault report

Practical steps, clear explanations and a useful place to start.

Describe the exact action that fails and the visible error, then include the TV model, player version and time of the failure. This is more useful than sending a photograph of a full account screen.

Why this happens

A store-login issue, app crash and rejected streaming login occur at different stages. A report should identify the failing stage before requesting a reset.

Work through the steps

  1. Record the Google TV device model and software release.
  2. Write down the player version and exact error text.
  3. Repeat one failing action and note the time.
  4. Send the report privately with a redacted screenshot if needed.

What to avoid

Hide passwords, private playlist links and device identifiers before sharing images. A support report should not include a full payment-card number.

Know what changed

Support should be able to identify the same model, software and failing step from the report. Retain the response and compare the suggested action against the original symptom.
