Use the app-search route for the television's webOS generation. Newer LG interfaces can show Apps directly, while older sets may open LG Content Store. Searching a phone store does not establish a television listing.
Why this happens
LG's interface and supported catalogue differ with model year. A change in store entry point is not evidence that the service account stopped working.
Work through the steps
- Find the TV model and webOS release.
- Open the appropriate Apps or LG Content Store screen.
- Search the exact player and inspect its developer.
- Install the model-supported listing before requesting account setup.
What to avoid
An Android APK is not a webOS app. Avoid treating an unavailable listing as permission to download an unidentified package from another platform.
Know what changed
The player should appear in the TV's installed-app area. If no compatible listing exists, obtain a model-specific publisher answer before purchasing activation.
