A second Mac player session triggers an account-limit error

Practical steps, clear explanations and a useful place to start.

Close unnecessary playback sessions before retrying. A browser tab, another player window or another household device may still be using the account. Verify the actual plan's connection allowance rather than assuming every device can stream simultaneously.

Why this happens

A service can distinguish saved device setup from active concurrent streams. An additional open session can fail even when each device works alone.

Work through the steps

  1. Stop playback in extra Mac windows and browser tabs.
  2. Check other devices using the same account.
  3. Confirm the subscribed simultaneous-stream allowance privately.
  4. Retry one programme in one player session.

What to avoid

Do not repeatedly create parallel sessions to test a single-connection plan. A player licence does not necessarily change the service's stream allowance.

Know what changed

A single permitted session should be assessed on its own. If the limit warning remains after other sessions stop, send the exact message and timing privately to service support.
