Compare the player aspect setting with the television picture-size option. Cropped subtitles often require an image-fit correction rather than a change to the language or account.

Why this happens
A zoomed presentation can cut off the image boundary. Embedded and selectable subtitle tracks can also behave differently, so identify which type is visible.
Work through the steps
- Use a scene where subtitles are partly visible.
- Select the player's fit or original aspect option if available.
- Review TV picture size in the model guide.
- Compare a second programme with a subtitle track.
What to avoid
Do not stretch the entire picture merely to move one title's text. If the programme has no subtitle track, a TV image setting cannot create one.
Know what changed
Text should fit inside the screen without distortion. If only one source remains cropped, record the title and subtitle type for a source-specific investigation.
