Compare the same programme on each display while keeping the source and player unchanged. Check each display's resolution and refresh-rate settings, then review the player's video behavior. A second screen can differ from the laptop panel even on one PC.

Why this happens
Different display modes and rendering loads can affect motion. Judder without loading pauses needs a different comparison from repeated network buffering.
Work through the steps
- Play the programme on the primary display.
- Move the same player window to the second display.
- Review supported resolution and refresh rate for that display.
- Close unnecessary graphics-heavy apps and repeat the comparison.
What to avoid
Do not force a refresh rate unsupported by the monitor. Avoid changing network and display settings simultaneously.
Know what changed
A useful result identifies whether judder follows one display or occurs everywhere. Include both display modes and the connection type in a support report.
