Installation and app source
Search the TV Apps area for the player. Confirm the publisher and TV-compatible edition available to the signed-in profile.
Google TV is a device interface, not an IPTV subscription. Hardware manufacturers and player developers control their own compatible features.
Enter your own account
Use the remote or supported virtual remote. The Google profile used for store access is separate from the streaming login inside a player.
Choose the login mode the player actually supports. Enter the server, username and password in their respective fields, or use the private playlist URL if that is what the app requests. A player licence remains separate from the source account.
Network and everyday playback
Open Settings > Network & Internet and confirm the selected network and band. Google recommends evaluating router position or a supported wired connection.
Review the connected device display settings. Retain formats supported by the television, cable and any HDMI receiver.
Compare the player audio track with the selected TV or receiver output. A stream and the device menus can use different audio formats.
Maintenance without losing your setup
Open Settings > System > Restart, then reopen the player after startup.
Use Settings > System > About > System update for the device. Google Play manages installed-player updates.
Open the player app-information page for available storage controls. Clear data can remove saved credentials and playlists.
If the problem remains
Record the device model, operating system, app name and version, exact error and local time of the failure. Say whether another programme works in the same app. That comparison helps distinguish an individual source problem from a general device or account fault.
