Installation and app source
Choose a macOS-compatible edition. Availability of an iPhone app on an Apple-silicon Mac depends on the publisher and hardware.
Mac processor architecture, macOS version and app build all matter. Reinstalling a player can remove local data.
Enter your own account
Use keyboard and mouse and preserve the exact server address. Public screenshots should not show live account or playlist details.
Choose the login mode the player actually supports. Enter the server, username and password in their respective fields, or use the private playlist URL if that is what the app requests. A player licence remains separate from the source account.
Network and everyday playback
Inspect System Settings > Network for Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Apple also provides Wi-Fi Recommendations and Wireless Diagnostics.
Review display mode and refresh choices, then the player image-fit controls. External displays add their own capabilities and HDMI behavior.
Check system output, player volume and selected track separately, particularly when using HDMI or Bluetooth.
Maintenance without losing your setup
Quit and reopen the player, force quit only if necessary, and restart after saving work when the fault persists.
Use App Store Updates for Store apps and the developer update process for other builds. Keep macOS updated.
There is no universal safe cache-removal command for all Mac players. Follow the app developer instructions instead of deleting arbitrary Library folders.
If the problem remains
Record the device model, operating system, app name and version, exact error and local time of the failure. Say whether another programme works in the same app. That comparison helps distinguish an individual source problem from a general device or account fault.
