Reproduction steps describe the sequence of actions and conditions that lead to a problem. They help another person distinguish a repeatable failure from an isolated observation. Good steps identify the relevant device, application and starting state, then explain what was done, what happened and what result was expected instead during that specific test.

A practical example
A viewer notes that opening one category, selecting one programme and switching to a particular audio track causes the app to close. Another person can follow that sequence more reliably than interpreting a general report that the app crashes occasionally.
A common misunderstanding
Keep changes controlled rather than combining many fixes before retesting. If the sequence no longer reproduces the problem, record what changed instead of presenting an old description as a current result.
